Tech Origins Warranty Terms & Conditions

At Tech Origins UAE, we stand behind the quality of our refurbished laptops and devices. These Terms & Conditions outline the warranty coverage, limitations, and responsibilities applicable to all purchases made from our store or authorized dealers within the UAE.

1. Warranty Period

The applicable warranty period begins from the date of purchase, delivery, or installation (whichever is later). Warranty applies under the categories of Normal Household Use and Commercial Use. During this period, Tech Origins will provide labour services free of charge.

2. Warranty Coverage

This warranty does not cover minor imperfections that meet design specifications or do not materially affect functionality. We exclude all guarantees or implied warranties, including but not limited to performance, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by UAE law.

3. Service Availability & Location

Service is available during our official operating hours. Depending on the product, service may be provided on-site or at our Customer Service Center.

4. Product Coverage

The warranty applies only to the original product configuration, design, or specifications. Consumables, non-functional parts, and accessories are not covered unless otherwise specified.

5. Eligibility Requirements

To claim warranty service, customers must present:

  • A valid warranty card issued with the product.
  • Valid proof of purchase (unaltered and legible).

6. Reporting Defects

Any missing parts, defects, or non-conformities must be reported within 7 days of purchase. Claims must be supported in writing and processed through an authorized Tech Origins representative.

7. Service Charges & Product Collection

Charges may apply for services outside warranty coverage. Products must be collected within 3 months after servicing. Uncollected products may be disposed of without notice, and storage charges may apply.

8. Service Timelines

Time is not of the essence. Service delays may occur due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for losses or damages caused by delays, though we will make reasonable efforts to notify customers if service exceeds 30 days.

9. Repairs & Replacements

If a product requires repair, we may at our discretion repair, replace, or exchange it with a new or refurbished item. Replaced parts become our property, and repaired/replaced products remain covered for the balance of the warranty period (minimum 30 days).

10. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must make the product reasonably accessible for service. If the product cannot be safely accessed, warranty coverage does not apply. Shipping costs to our service center are the customer’s responsibility.

11. Non-Transferability

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser. It is not transferable or assignable.

12. Exclusions & Limitations

This warranty does not cover damages or faults resulting from:

  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or third-party accessories.
  • Negligence, misuse, tampering, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, or natural disasters.
  • Improper installation, transportation, or storage conditions.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damages, or consumables such as batteries, cables, or accessories.
  • Software issues, viruses, or user-related settings.
  • Products with defaced, altered, or missing serial numbers.
  • Refurbished, display, clearance, or end-of-line items marked as such at purchase.
  • User-contact components such as keyboards, individual keys, trackpads, pointing devices, hinges, ports, and buttons are subject to normal wear and handling. Issues affecting these components are not covered under warranty unless reported within 7 days of delivery and verified as a functional defect at the time of sale.

We reserve the right to charge for repairs under excluded circumstances at prevailing rates.

13. Liability & Governing Law

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech Origins is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, time, or usage. Remedies under this warranty are limited to repair or replacement only.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Our decisions on warranty matters are final and binding. None of our employees, dealers, or agents may alter these terms.
